Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Enough time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the film, commenting that he doesn't recollect "a single day without mirth".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles court official agreed to block the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A court order issued a security hold on the investigation to restrict the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of homicide, with a record listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".
