Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The athlete was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on Monday, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.
“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” Omotosho said.
Remembering the Victims
The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”
